What I'd like to do is sculpt out the basic shape of some guns I want to design and then do the "retopo" thing to make them usable in a game (specifically Second Life), clean up the model a bit, and then paint my texture onto them. Then I saw some videos on "hard surface modeling" and eventually saw these two programs and just learned about "retopo" a few hours ago. I'm super new to 3D modeling, like literally, I've only been learning Blender for like 4 or 5 days, doing maybe 3-6 hours a day fiddling around in it. ![]() A lot of things I find comparing the two softwares are from like 2015 so I'm hoping to get some fresh info. ![]()
